Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pocket Checklist at 100% against SimFly Pad's 60%. Pocket Checklist also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12). SimFly Pad's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimFly Pad sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Pocket Checklist asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

SimFly Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimFly Pad has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of SimFly Pad's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pocket Checklist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

SimFly Pad ships an update every 2 weeks, Pocket Checklist every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
