Kalta is a simple, private home inventory app for tracking emergency supplies in real boxes in your home. Create a warehouse. Print QR labels for your boxes. Scan barcodes to fill in product info automatically. Add expiration dates. Kalta sorts everything by urgency, reminds you before items expire, and tells you how many days of food and water your household actually has. Built for people who actually rotate their stock. KEY FEATURES โข Boxes with QR labels โ Stick a QR label on each physical box. Scan it to jump straight to its contents. โข Barcode scanning โ Fills in product name, category, calories, and weight from the Open Food Facts database. Custom entries for anything not in the database. โข Expiration tracking โ Color coding by urgency (expired, critical, soon, OK). Items and boxes are sorted by urgency on the main screen. โข Local reminders โ Configurable notifications 30 days, 7 days, 1 day before, and on the expiry day. No servers involved โ notifications are scheduled on your device. โข Readiness dashboard โ Tell Kalta who you're feeding (kcal and water per person, per day). Kalta computes how many days of food and water your inventory actually covers, against the goal you set. โข Emergency kit checklist โ A curated FEMA-style 24-item kit (water, food, first aid, light & power, tools, sanitation, documents). Tracks lifecycle from missing โ on shopping list โ purchased โ stocked. โข Shopping list with restock โ Add items manually or let Kalta auto-suggest from what's expired, low on stock, or missing from your emergency kit. Check items off in the store; restock them into a box in two taps. โข Notifications bell โ One in-app alerts surface in every screen header. Lights up only when readiness is below goal, items are expiring, or purchases are waiting to be restocked. โข Share with family โ Invite your partner or family members to a warehouse. Everyone sees updates in real time, including the shopping list and readiness. โข Offline-first โ Everything works without internet. Changes sync when you're back online. โข Peer-to-peer sync โ Two iPhones can exchange data directly over Bluetooth and WiFi, no network required. โข AI-assisted product recognition โ Optional. Bring your own Anthropic API key and let Claude identify products from a photo. You're in control of cost and privacy. โข Print QR labels โ Brother Bluetooth label printer support, or share the QR as an image to print anywhere. PRIVACY No ads. No tracking. No analytics. No crash reporting. No third-party SDKs. Data is stored on your iPhone and synced to an encrypted database hosted in Ireland (EU). Only you and people you explicitly invite to a warehouse can see your inventory. Apple Sign In is the only account system โ no new passwords to manage. WHAT KALTA IS NOT Kalta is a personal inventory tool. It is not a substitute for professional advice on emergency preparedness, food storage safety, or medication rotation. Always verify product-specific information from the manufacturer.
