Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: TrackSpeed at every 3 days against Sprint Timer's monthly. TrackSpeed also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%). Sprint Timer's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sprint Timer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and TrackSpeed sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Sprint Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Sprint Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of TrackSpeed's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Sprint Timer ships an update monthly, TrackSpeed every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
