Mayority vs EMYO

The elections are over! Congratulations to you, the new mayor! However, winning the election is only the first step in your success story. The residents of Mayority have different interests and ideas for a perfect city. Your task is to balance the different needs in your decisions to ensure a happy coexistence among all residents. Are you up to the task? Give it a try! Mayority is based on the Council of Europe’s “Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture” (RFCDC) and a fun way to understand basic democratic values in the classroom. It can be played in German and English and is a playful way for 10 to 15-year-olds to understand and appreciate democratic values and how to live together peacefully . Through interactive tasks and accompanying teaching material (currently only available in German), players are motivated to engage with protecting democracy and strengthening social cohesion. Mayority was awarded the Comenius EduMedia Seal, the “German Children's Software Award” for the best app and was a finalist at the “Innovation in Politics Awards” 2024 in Barcelona.

Grow app confidently! The hybrid creature EMYO is half fox, half human. It takes children on an interactive and playful journey into space, where different planets are discovered along the way. The mission is to make children stronger by using the app: They playfully learn what they need for their daily lives, and what is often neglected at school.  EMYO is an abbreviation that stands for “Empower Yourself.” With EMYO, children aged eight and up learn how they can grow internally and achieve their goals. It promotes a growth mindset that can help children with many things in everyday life. The app was developed with the support of educational experts, but is not intended to feel like learning. Above all, it’s supposed to be fun.  The app is lovingly designed by hand and easy to use. The special user guidance allows each child to play at their own speed and interactively discover outer space. Each planet leads to a new mission, thereby giving children more and more self-confidence.  CONTENTS:  - Welcoming planetary setting in which to play and discover  - Mythical creature EMYO is an interactive companion  - Six missions that make children more self-confident and courageous  - SpaceBall and its 30 levels (a ball game)  - Interactive passport with game progress  - Also developed with a lot of care for one’s own children  YOUR INPUT:  We have tested the app extensively to find and fix all bugs.
