Are you constantly stressing over your kids spending too much time on their phones or iPads? PlayShield sets a shared "playtime bank" for the day, taking the hassle out of managing screen time. All the games you select share this single pool of time. Once a game session is unlocked, only that game can be played. Whether time runs out or your child quits early, all included games are locked until the cooldown finishes. The goal is simple: stop kids from constantly hopping back and forth between games. It’s great if you want to curb your own screen time, or if you're a parent setting limits on a shared iPhone. Quick heads-up: PlayShield isn't a remote monitoring tool, nor does it replace built-in iOS Parental Controls. If the app is deleted, or if Screen Time permissions are turned off or revoked, the restrictions will no longer apply. How it works Set a daily limit: All selected games share one combined daily allowance, which resets every midnight based on your local time. Set session limits: You can set a maximum duration for each game session. The app automatically picks whichever is shorter: your session cap or your remaining time for the day. One game at a time: Only one game session can be active at a time. While playing, all other selected games stay locked. Early exits refund time: Quitting early returns unused minutes back to your daily allowance, but you still have to wait out the global cooldown before starting another game. Daily cap means daily cap: Once you hit your limit for the day, you'll need to wait for midnight to unlock any games again. Other features Track usage: View game stats and breakdowns for the past 7 days or the whole month. Stay updated: Get notifications when a session is about to end or time is up. On supported iOS versions, you can track the countdown right from the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. 100% free and private: No account registration needed, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
