Chess Clock Timers is the tournament-grade chess clock for serious players. Full FIDE and USCF time control support — Fischer increment, Bronstein delay, and simple US delay — in a beautiful, dead-simple timer with DGT-style ergonomics. Tap anywhere on your half to switch turns — the way you would a real chess clock. Only your half responds during your move, so accidental mistaps during your opponent's turn are impossible. BUILT FOR REAL PLAY • Tap-anywhere targets — slap your side with the back of your hand, just like a physical chess clock • Only the active side responds — no catastrophic mistaps during your opponent's turn • Center pause that's deliberately hard to hit by accident mid-game • Audible flag fall even with your phone on silent — tournament reliable • Top half rotates 180° so both players read upright across the board • The clock keeps running when you switch apps or lock your phone — just like a real chess clock EVERY TIMING MODE • Fischer increment — time added at the start of each move (FIDE standard) • Bronstein delay — used time returned, capped at the delay (cannot accumulate) • Simple US delay — clock pauses for N seconds before ticking each move (USCF standard) • Sudden death — pure countdown, no time added EVERY OFFICIAL PRESET, OUT OF THE BOX Bullet: 1+0, 2+1 Fischer Blitz: 3+0, 5+0, 3+2 Fischer, 5+3 Fischer Rapid: 10+0, 15+10 Fischer, 25+10 Fischer Classical: 60+0, 90+30 Fischer (World Championship) USCF: G/30 d5, G/60 d5, G/90 d30 CRAFTED FOR TIME PRESSURE • Digits shift amber at 30 seconds, critical red under 10 seconds • Optional chime at the low-time thresholds • Crisp haptic feedback on every move • Optional tap sound for confirmation • Move counter shown alongside the active clock • Light, dark, and system-matching themes Save your own custom time controls in any mode and any duration — Fischer, Bronstein, simple delay, or sudden death. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chess Clock Timers at none against Swimming Timer's 2. Chess Clock Timers also leads on ads (none vs shown). Swimming Timer's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price there is nothing between them.
