Remote Camera

Your phone. A second angle. A place for you in the frame. Remote Camera turns your phone into a camera controlled from another phone with Remote Shutter. Put it on a tripod, step into the shot and check the framing from your controller. Capture group photos, self-portraits, tutorials, interviews and performances without walking back to the camera. BUILD A TWO-CAMERA SETUP Use one or two camera phones with a single Remote Shutter controller. See both live views and use shared photo and recording controls, or adjust each camera individually. One camera needs two devices; two cameras need three. SEE YOUR SHOT WHILE RECORDING Send a live preview to the controller before and during video. Adjust supported focus, zoom and exposure controls, switch cameras, and use flash or a video torch. Choose a 3- or 10-second photo timer. Hide the camera phone's local preview while capture continues. CAPTURE WITH MORE CONTROL Record up to 4K and choose from the resolutions and frame rates available for the selected lens. Set manual ISO and shutter speed where supported, then return to Auto. Choose photo size and JPEG or HEIF photos, plus H.264 or HEVC video, when both the iOS camera and receiving device support the format. Microphone access is optional for silent video. CONNECT NEARBY OR FAR AWAY Pair with Remote Shutter using a QR code or connection link. Nearby, use the same Wi-Fi network or a phone hotspot: local communication needs no internet, and a hotspot needs no router. Across different networks, use internet mode. Nearby discovery and saved pairs make returning to your setup easier. Hotspot availability depends on your phone and carrier. KEEP THE ORIGINALS Save original photos and videos on the camera phone with permission. Send optional copies to your controller for review. Interrupted transfers can resume after reconnecting, and pending files remain available for recovery. Leaving the controller does not stop an active recording: return to check it or stop it. Keep Remote Camera open on every camera phone. TWO APPS, CLEAR ROLES Remote Camera is the free capture companion. Install Remote Shutter on the controller; its Premium subscription is purchased separately. No app account is required. Subscription activation and verification may need internet. These apps connect phones, not DSLR or action cameras. Available settings, image quality and preview performance depend on the devices and connection.
