About

MishMix

Features

MishMix is the rehearsal tool singers and musicians have been waiting for. Whether you're preparing a choral part, a musical theatre role, or a vocal ensemble piece, MishMix lets you work with the actual multi-track stems of your music — not a flat stereo mix — so you can hear exactly what you need, when you need it. How it works Your music director shares a Google Drive folder containing the individual MP3 stems for each piece — one file per voice part or instrument. MishMix downloads them to your device and plays all tracks in perfect sync, giving you complete control over the mix. Hear your part, your way Raise or lower any track independently. Want to hear only your Soprano line against a soft piano? Done. Need the full choir but with your Bass part slightly louder? Easy. Four instant mix presets — My Vocal, My Vocal + Music, My Vocal Focus, and Full Mix — let you switch between common listening modes in one tap. You can also save two custom mixes and recall them instantly. Loop any section Set an A point and a B point anywhere on the timeline to loop a passage on repeat. Perfect for drilling a difficult interval, locking in an entry, or memorising a tricky phrase without having to scrub back manually every time. See the notes as you sing MishMix analyses your vocal stem and displays the current note on a mini piano keyboard in real time as the track plays. Watch the highlighted key move as the melody progresses — an invaluable reference when learning new music or checking your intonation. Your library, always in sync Songs live in a shared Google Drive folder managed by your conductor or music director. Open the app, pull to refresh, and any new pieces or updated stems appear automatically. Files are stored on your device for offline practice — no internet connection needed once downloaded. Designed for serious practice Plays up to six stems simultaneously in perfect sync Per-track volume faders with mute and solo Four instant mix presets plus two saveable custom slots A/B loop with precise marker placement Regional markers for jumping to named sections (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) Real-time vocal pitch display on a piano keyboard Background playback — practice while your screen is locked Lock-screen and headphone controls via the Now Playing panel Automatic stem updates when your director replaces a file on Drive Works entirely offline after the initial download Who is MishMix for? Choral singers, musical theatre performers, barbershop quartets, vocal ensembles, voice students, and anyone who rehearses with multi-track stems. If your group already shares backing tracks via Google Drive, you can be up and running in minutes. Privacy MishMix collects zero personal data. No account, no login, no analytics. Your practice sessions stay entirely on your device.
