The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DayNumCalc at 100% against Handi's 50%. Handi's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Handi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of DayNumCalc's written reviews are positive against 50% of Handi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
