Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Barcade at none against Arcade1Up's shown. Barcade also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Arcade1Up's advantage is ratings volume (4.5K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Barcade holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arcade1Up has 4.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Arcade1Up ships an update every 3 months, Barcade every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
