Welcome to TrapScores v. 3.0 A simple app to track your trap scores for each shooting position and selected range: American, Continental or International/Olympic. Can be run on both iPhone & iPad. Scoring can be entered with HIT & MISS buttons on the iPhone/iPad screen, or with a simple, inexpensive Bluetooth camera shutter remote... and now... also via Apple Watch! Apple Watch scoring entry is especially easy as the app does not need to be running on either iPhone or iPad. Scores are entered by Position for selected Range and then sent to the app on the iPhone or iPad via iCloud. Simple & easy. Note: TrapScores shares iCloud storage with my other app, MyClayScores, so your stored scoring for American, Continental and Olympic trap can be viewed in either app.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: TrapScores at 5.0 against SOS Clays's 3.8. SOS Clays's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
TrapScores holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOS Clays has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
TrapScores ships an update every 2 weeks, SOS Clays fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
