Freebore is one app for the whole job: a ballistic calculator, load workup, group measurement, notes and loads for every gun and range trip, and your match dope on an Apple Watch or a Garmin. One subscription instead of four apps. DOPE Range it, make your wind call off the clock, and get the come-up and the wind hold in mils, MOA, inches or clicks, however your turrets read. Flip to the reticle view and see the hold on your own reticle at whatever power you're on, drawn from the scope maker's own sheet. The range card shades the transonic rows, the compass sets your direction of fire, and hit chance gives you your odds before you send it. The stage or the range card goes to your Apple Watch. Ask Siri for your dope at 600 and it reads it back. TRUE IT Mark where they landed and it corrects the speed or the drag to your own impacts. LIVE AIR AND WIND Pair whatever device you own: Kestrel, Tempest weathermeter, or Calypso and the data is fed to the ballistic calculator for real time dope and wind holds. MATCH DAY Load the match book as PDFs, or take photos of the stage sheets at the briefing, and Freebore AI builds the stages. Send the stage to your Apple Watch or your SG Pulse Pro, time limit and warning beeps included. Log time and hits on each stage and share the match with your squad. LOAD WORKUP Reloading: work up loads for your rifle. Throw away the old program on your windows computer. Now you can build loads from your app. Put in the cartridge, bullet and powder, your barrel length, case capacity and seating depth, and you get peak pressure, velocity and case fill at every charge weight. You can view load tables with your case and bullet or powder selection to find what might work best for your cartridge. FREEBORE RELOADING ENGINE & PUBLISHED DATA Freebore has an internal reloading engine that helps you build the next perfect load. It also pulls from 263,000+ lines of published load data, from Hodgdon, Vihtavuori, Alliant, Western, Lyman and more. NOTEBOOK Log a ladder, an OCW, a Satterlee or a seating depth test shot by shot, with ES and SD for every charge. It even charts your ladder and OCW tests for you so you can find that perfect node. Pull a chrono string in off a Garmin ShotView. Notes for every rifle: round count on the barrel, and when you last cleaned it. No more notebooks and hand writing all your load data. Even attach your measured target to each group of a ladder, OCW, or range trip for reference later. TARGETS Photograph the target, tap the holes, get group size, mean radius and the clicks to zero. GUNS AND LIBRARY Photograph a box of factory ammo and it pulls the cartridge, bullet and box velocity. 576 cartridges, 4,200+ bullets, 234 powders, and 162 airgun pellets and slugs with BCs Hard Air Magazine measured. Load data and reticles live on the phone, so it works with no signal. SUBSCRIPTION $5.99 a month or $54 a year (US prices; the App Store shows your local price), with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. One subscription covers iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and freebore.app. If it lapses, the app goes read-only; nothing you've saved is deleted. Terms of Use: https://freebore.app/terms License (Apple's standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/appstore/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://freebore.app/privacy SAFETY Pressure, velocity, drop and wind holds are estimates from a model, not readings off a pressure gauge. Start at the published starting load where there is one, work up, and watch for pressure signs. You're responsible for every round you load and fire.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Freebore at 5.0 against Ballistics Report's 4.2. Freebore also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). Ballistics Report's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (358 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
