Variometer+ vs Helmonix

Variometer+ is the most responsive variometer for your iPhone or/and Apple Watch. Works for all activities (paragliding, hang gliding, aviation, ...). • Super reactive / responsive thanks to a very advanced algorithm • Beeps like a real variometer (or haptic feedback on your wrist) • Shows ground speed & altitude (sea level & relative to take-off) • Sink alarm • Entirely configurable (settings sync with Apple Watch through iCloud) • Choose among several gauges • Change units (m/s, ft/min, ...) • Customize beeps tresholds • Customize gauge max & min values based on your activity • Customize the sound of your vario (frequency, cadence, ...) for maximum comfort • Independent Apple Watch app (sound, haptic feedback, ...) → everything on your wrist • ... and more Use at your own risk. The creator cannot be held responsible for any issue that might arise. Common sense should prevail. Fly safe! This app respects your privacy and does not collect any data. Feedback is welcome and appreciated, you can contact me from within the app :-). Please be nice with me ;-). About the algorithm: This variometer is not an ordinary app. To provide this level of responsiveness, a very advanced mathematical technique is being used. This is called ‘Sensor fusion’. It uses data from multiple sensors of your devices, and combines them to increase accuracy and responsiveness. This has been developed in collaboration with researchers from the university of UCLouvain in Belgium. Because of the efficiency, hence complexity, of the algorithm, a great amount of computational power is required. This is why, based on the tests, the advanced level of responsiveness is only available on recent devices. The app still works - but is less responsive - on older devices though. Enjoy! --------- The terms of use & privacy policy can be found here: https://variometer.app/terms-and-privacy.html

Focus on the road, leave the audio to us.Are you ready to make your motorcycle rides safer, more comfortable, and smarter? Helmonix is a speed-sensitive smart intercom audio control assistant developed specifically for motorcycle riders. Do you struggle to hear your intercom or music while riding due to wind and road noise, and then find the volume uncomfortably loud when you stop at a traffic light? Helmonix completely solves this problem! By using your phone's GPS data, it measures your real-time speed and automatically increases or decreases your Bluetooth headset volume smoothly based on your speed, wind resistance, and selected riding mode. KEY FEATURES: Speed-Sensitive Smart Audio Control As you accelerate, the volume automatically increases to overcome wind noise. When you slow down or stop, it smoothly lowers to a safe and comfortable level. Live Weather and Wind Integration Real-time weather and wind intensity in your area are calculated (via API) and instantly reflected in the audio algorithm. On rainy days, a maximum safe volume limit is activated to prevent distraction. Customizable Riding Modes City Mode: Calm, traffic-aware volume control at low speeds. Highway Mode: Aggressive volume increase to overcome severe wind noise at high speeds. Rain Mode: Balanced volume level that preserves auditory awareness in bad weather conditions. Silent Mode: Complete silence at low speeds. Smart Mode (Auto-Pilot): Automatically switches between modes based on your speed and environmental conditions! Sudden Stop / Safety Mode When you brake hard or a sudden stop is detected, the system automatically lowers the volume for your safety and situational awareness.
