Sivil is one app for running a youth team — and for the families in it. It replaces the group chat, the sign-up sheet, the shared calendar, and the permission-slip folder. And because half your roster is somebody's kid, guardian oversight is built into the foundation instead of bolted on. FOR COACHES AND TEAM ADMINS Four rooms, zero admin. Create a team and it provisions itself: Everyone, Coaches, Athletes, and Parents & Supporters. When someone's role changes, their rooms update automatically — no one is left in a chat they shouldn't be in. One schedule everybody actually sees. Import an existing season with an .ics file, or type "practice Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm through November" and let Sivil turn it into real events. Families RSVP, and you can see who answered. Sign-ups without the spreadsheet. Post the volunteer slots you need filled and let parents claim them. When life happens, they trade shifts with each other right inside team chat instead of cancelling on you. Paperwork you can track. Request a document from the families who owe you one, see at a glance who has turned it in, and nudge the rest. Sivil tracks uploads and who is still outstanding. Announcements, polls, and photos. Send something that has to be read. Ask a question and get a countable answer. Collect game-day photos into a shared team album, and tag the players in them so the shots land on their pages too. FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS Everything about your kid's team in one place — the schedule, the roster, the announcements, and the shifts you signed up for. And oversight you choose like a stage, not a verdict. Three levels, named for what you see: Review First — you approve messages before they land. Alerts — you are told when something needs your attention. Activity Only — you see who and how much, not what. Nothing is ever hidden from your kid. This is the promise every teen on Sivil can read: "Chats with adults are always open; with your friends, your guardian sees who and how much — not what — unless something looks genuinely dangerous or they pull the emergency alarm, and you'll always know if they do." SAFETY, BUILT IN Adults and minors are not treated the same. Identity verification gates the things that need an adult behind them. Messages are scanned for harmful content. Anyone can report or block anyone, from the conversation itself. Guardians are alerted the first time an adult makes contact with their child. Parental consent is collected before a child under 13 can use Sivil, and you can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app. FOR EVERYONE ELSE Not on the team but want to follow it? A team can publish a read-only visitor page — the schedule, the roster, the photos — reachable with a view code, with no account and no sign-up. PRICING Free during early access. Sivil is built by a small team in the United States. Questions, problems, or something that looks wrong: sivil.us

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Sivil at 5.0 against NeonSportz's 4.3. Sivil also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). NeonSportz's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
