Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RankChart at 4.5 against Flag Maker!'s 4.0. RankChart also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 48 months). Flag Maker!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (66% vs 46%). On price, ratings volume, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RankChart sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Flag Maker! asks for nothing beyond the download.
RankChart holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 140 and 201 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Flag Maker!'s written reviews are positive against 46% of RankChart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Flag Maker! ships an update every 48 months, RankChart fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
