Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Duo Wallpapers at 4.7 against DuoTheme's 4.4. Duo Wallpapers also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). DuoTheme's advantage is ratings volume (355 vs 15) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. DuoTheme sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Duo Wallpapers sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Duo Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DuoTheme has 355 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of DuoTheme's written reviews are positive against 67% of Duo Wallpapers's.
DuoTheme ships an update fortnightly, Duo Wallpapers every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
