Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
CocoCat holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 26 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Firefly's written reviews are positive against 50% of CocoCat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Firefly ships an update weekly, CocoCat monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
