Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: BAST at 4.6 against Status Bartender's 3.0. BAST also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (338 vs 1). Status Bartender's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Status Bartender sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BAST asks for nothing beyond the download.
BAST holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BAST has 338 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of BAST's written reviews are positive against 100% of Status Bartender's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
BAST ships an update every 2 weeks, Status Bartender every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
