We’ve all had that magic day. The wind looked wrong, the tide seemed too full, and the swell forecast was tiny... So everyone else stayed home. You scored it solo. But as you drove away, that nagging thought hit: “I’ll never remember the exact combo that made this work.” Most surfers rely on gut feeling and generic apps, which leads to empty line-ups for others and "skunked" sessions for you. If you don't track the data, you’re just leaving your best sessions to chance. Wax Journal is the simple, clean diary built for the surfing obsessed. We don’t just help you log your sessions, we help you decode them. With our new AI-Powered Session Insights, you don't have to be a meteorologist to find the patterns. Our AI analyses your history to tell you exactly why a spot worked, spotting the hidden correlations between swell period and tide movement that you might have missed. The 3-Step Path to Scoring More: 1. Quick Log: Spend 30 seconds after your surf recording the conditions (even while offline). 2. AI Analysis: Let our AI scan your database to find your "Magic Formulas" for every local break. 3. Go When It’s On: Receive custom insights so you know exactly which spot is firing before you even load the boards. Build Your Secret Database Stop letting your "aha!" moments fade. Use Wax Journal to track the vitals: Environmental Data: Swell (dir/size/period), Wind (dir/speed, Tide and more. The X-Factors: Crowd levels and any personal notes. AI Summaries: Get automated summaries that simplify your logs into actionable "go/no-go" advice for the future. You can keep guessing and hope the "Surf Report" is right this time.
