Have you ever wondered how many bird species you’ve photographed so far? Or wanted to quickly check the shots you have of a specific species you just saw? Maybe, all your in-flight, or action shots? These were the kinds of questions I also asked often, which led me to creating Wild Vault. Wild Vault helps you explore, organize, and revisit your entire nature photography journey — anywhere. If your iPhone is in your pocket, your photos and insights are too. Curious what else it can do? Read on — or jump right in. Wild Vault is completely free and contains no ads. Wild Vault is a personal photo organizer for nature photographers who want to track species, explore their shots, and relive their photographic journey — all directly from their iPhone. What can you do with Wild Vault? - Organize your photos by species, keywords, rating, EXIF and other metadata - Easily find and assign any living species to your photos. The huge species database contains basically everything living, including animals, plants and fungi, thanks to iNaturalist. - Quickly find photos of a specific animal, or filter based on any of the supported metadata. Combine filters for powerful results - View and manage photo metadata - Share your photos on social media or anywhere else - Personalize your species repository, by assigning your favorite photo as “cover image”. Learn about species, starting directly from the app. - Attention: Wild Vault is NOT an automatic identification app. You have to manually assign species to your photos, but you are backed by a huge database and tools that make it easy. Wild Vault was designed with simplicity and fast workflows in mind. Maintaining your collection should be joy, not a struggle. Ask better questions about your photos: - Which species have I photographed so far? What are my best photos of each of them? - Which photos haven’t been identified yet? - Show me all my in-flight or action shots - Find photos taken with a specific camera and/or lens - Explore your images by species, time, technical details and other metadata or : “Show me all my insect and spider photos taken this year with my favorite macro lens.” Wild Vault makes complex photo queries simple and intuitive. Privacy statement Your data stays on your device. No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Made by a photographer, for photographers Wild Vault is built by a hobby nature photographer for fellow photographers who care about their work and their data. The App is in continuous development with a lot of planned features and improvements, and I am very happy to hear your feedback! Help me make it better.
