The call

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Temp Mail at 2.5K against EmailOnDeck's 4. Temp Mail also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). EmailOnDeck's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 76%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Temp Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Temp Mail has 2.5K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Temp Mail's written reviews are positive against 100% of EmailOnDeck's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Temp Mail ships an update every 2 months, EmailOnDeck every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
