About

sBlocchiTi

Features

sBlocchiTi is an application designed to help you learn how to program and control the NAO V6 humanoid robot through a visual block-based programming environment. Drag, connect, and combine graphical blocks to create programs, explore programming logic, and turn your ideas into robot actions. Designed for educational robotics, STEM workshops, training, and experimentation, sBlocchiTi makes programming accessible without requiring you to start by writing code. PROGRAM THE ROBOT Create movement sequences, conditions, loops, and custom functions. Use dedicated blocks to control NAO's locomotion, postures, joints, hands, speech, volume, and LEDs. You can also use the animations and behaviors already available on the robot. SENSORS AND EVENTS Take advantage of touch sensors, bumpers, sonars, and other available sensors to create programs that can perceive their surroundings and respond to events. Use the speech recognition and NAOmark detection features supported by the robot. FROM BLOCKS TO PYTHON CODE Generate the Python code corresponding to your block-based program and view it with syntax highlighting. Gradually progress from visual programming to understanding a text-based programming language. RUN AND CONTROL Start, pause, resume, or stop your program. Follow program execution directly in the workspace through block highlighting and variable monitoring. The STOP ROBOT function allows you to stop sending programmed actions over the network connection. MANAGE YOUR PROJECTS Save, rename, duplicate, import, and export your programs. The local project library organizes your projects with graphical previews. You can also export your block-based programs in SVG and PNG formats, making them useful for lessons, documentation, and presentations. DIRECT CONNECTION TO NAO V6 Connect to the robot over your local network without installing additional software components on NAO. Automatic discovery makes it easier to find available robots and identify the selected robot. You can also create and manage your projects without being connected to a robot. REQUIREMENTS To run programs on a physical robot, you need a NAO V6 compatible with NAOqi 2.8 and accessible over your local network. The physical robot is not included with the application. sBlocchiTi is available in Italian, English, and French. DEVELOPMENT AND COMPATIBILITY sBlocchiTi is an independent application developed by INGNET SRL SEMPLIFICATA, Built with Blockly.
