Both are free to download. 山海经 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and 三界九州 sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
三界九州 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 39 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of 山海经's written reviews are positive against 90% of 三界九州's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
山海经 ships an update every 8 months, 三界九州 weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
