Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: SmartPicks | Player Props at 4.1 against ShotOnTarget's 1.0. SmartPicks | Player Props also leads on ratings volume (105 vs 1) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). ShotOnTarget's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 70%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. SmartPicks | Player Props sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and ShotOnTarget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
SmartPicks | Player Props holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartPicks | Player Props has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of SmartPicks | Player Props's written reviews are positive against 100% of ShotOnTarget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SmartPicks | Player Props ships an update every 6 weeks, ShotOnTarget every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
