Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Porter at none against StencilPro's 9. Porter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 55%). StencilPro's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (421 vs 46). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StencilPro sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Porter asks for nothing beyond the download.
StencilPro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StencilPro has 421 ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Porter's written reviews are positive against 55% of StencilPro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
