**Editors pick for “New games we love” in 135+ countries** **Editors pick for “New and noteworthy games” in 150+ countries** **Editors pick for “What we are playing this week”** **Editors choice "Indie corner"** Luminosus is a unique and challenging puzzle game that combines the fun of matching colors on a Tetris-esque board. Puzzle pieces can be changed back and forth as many times as you want, so a red block will change a yellow piece orange but another red piece will change it back to red. If a piece is influenced by all three colors it is turned white and scores significantly more when cleared. In this way the game requires planning more steps ahead than your standard piece-dropping puzzle game. With its simple but addictive gameplay, Luminosus offers hours of entertainment and a twist on the classic Tetris and Puyo experience. Features: • Classic mode for a relaxing experience • Marathon game mode for the ultimate challenge • Compete against the world on the leaderboard • Achievements • Controller support • Color blind and night modes • Unique and challenging gameplay that combines Tetris with color matching

How the Game Works The game consists of 10 levels. In each level, players work with 4 different block structures and try to place them logically to form complete rows. Each successful placement earns points. The score increases in steps of 100 points, and when 1000 points are reached, the game is completed at level 10. As the game progresses: Placing blocks requires more attention Using space efficiently becomes more important Poor decisions have a stronger impact This creates a natural increase in difficulty and encourages thoughtful play. Two-Player Side-by-Side Mode The game can be played by two people at the same time, side by side on the same screen. This mode is not a competitive race. Players do not try to defeat each other Each player controls their own area The game is experienced together on a shared screen Players may talk, think, and plan alongside each other This mode is designed for: Children sharing one device Parent–child play Friends playing next to each other and exchanging ideas Why It Supports Cognitive Skills The game focuses on thinking before acting, rather than fast reactions. While playing, players: Plan upcoming moves Evaluate how shapes fit into the available space Choose placements carefully Consider multiple possibilities at the same time This supports: Visual–spatial awareness Planning and attention Problem-solving skills Summary This game: Progresses through 10 structured levels Uses 4 different block types Can be played solo or in two-player side-by-side mode Emphasizes thoughtful play rather than competition It offers a balanced experience that rewards focus, planning, and clear thinking.
