Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spare Me Lite at none against StrikeMaster's 5. Spare Me Lite also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 91%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). StrikeMaster's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (67 vs 15). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StrikeMaster sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Spare Me Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

StrikeMaster holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 67 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Spare Me Lite's written reviews are positive against 91% of StrikeMaster's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Spare Me Lite ships an update monthly, StrikeMaster every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
