Chemistry Equations
Read full descriptionHide full description
Chemy+ is an infinite canvas for understanding chemistry: type an equation and get the balanced right-hand side drawn atom by atom, build compounds by joining atoms with your finger, or drop elements into the Lab and watch what reacts. EQUATIONS • Type the reactants ("2H2 + O2 =") and Chemy+ completes and balances the equation. • Every product is drawn with its bonds and CPK colors; tap one for molar mass, bonds and composition. • Write both sides and the balancing happens on your device, offline. • Write the formula by hand with your finger or Apple Pencil: whatever is recognized goes into the same engine. BUILDER AND LAB • Drop one atom onto another and they bond by valence: covalent, polar, ionic or metallic. Valence electrons orbit the atom you touch. • Every body draws its real structure, with single, double and triple bonds, charges and ions. • Cut a bond with the scissors and see what it cost in energy and what is left: ions if it was polar, radicals if it was not. • Draw an organic skeleton as lines and drop it into the Lab fully built: each vertex is a carbon and hydrogens are filled in for you. • Place zones of heat, cold, pressure, catalyst, aqueous solution or current and change what forms and why. REAL CHEMISTRY • 118 elements with search, families, electronegativity, configuration and melting and boiling points. • 174 reactions verified against general and organic chemistry sources, each with its chapter. • Activity series, acid-base with live pH and indicators, states of matter, electrolysis and the Daniell cell. • Functional groups and IUPAC names for what you build. • "How to make it": Chemy+ traces the route from the elements in your palette and unfolds it on the canvas, step by step. MADE FOR LEARNING • 50 challenges across five levels, with no points and no leaderboards. • A history of everything you solved and built. • Spanish and English. • No accounts and no ads. Your canvases stay on your device. Product prediction for open equations uses artificial intelligence and is always verified against the on-device chemistry engine before being shown; only the equation text is sent. CHEMY+ PRO (OPTIONAL) • Free forever: equations, the Lab, the builder, the periodic table, challenges, molecules and organic chemistry, with up to 3 canvases and 10 AI predictions a day. Balancing an equation typed with both sides is unlimited. • Chemy+ Pro removes those caps: unlimited canvases and AI predictions with no daily limit. • Monthly or annual subscription; the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your Apple ID settings. • Your canvases are yours: if Pro ends, every one of them still opens and can be edited. Verdict
Service Maps and Chemistry Equations are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
