Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: MashedBrain at 4.4 against Plumerie's 1.0. MashedBrain also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). Plumerie's advantage is device support. On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plumerie sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. MashedBrain asks for nothing beyond the download.
MashedBrain holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MashedBrain has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
