An App for Those Who Want to Spend Less Time on Their Phones. Every feature of the app is designed, tested, and used daily by people who need to focus and set their phones aside. You can set up automatic blocking of distracting apps while you work on important tasks. While these apps are blocked, you won’t receive notifications from them, and you won’t be able to open them until the time you set has elapsed. This will allow you to concentrate fully and avoid distractions from things that aren’t currently important. Limits will help you restrict the time you spend on various apps each day. You can choose which apps to limit, how much time you want to spend on them, and the days of the week that the restrictions will apply. Once the allotted time has expired, the apps will remain blocked until the end of the day. Deep Focus is a manual app-blocking feature. You select the apps and the duration of the blocking. After that, the apps will be unavailable until the chosen time is up. Reels. Shorts. For You. Explore. Autoplay. Like counts. Every one of them is a feature somebody designed to keep you scrolling, and not one of them has an off switch. TimeWell is the off switch. Open Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook inside TimeWell and the addictive parts are gone before the page finishes loading. Your messages, your profile and the people you actually follow stay exactly as they were. You sign in on each platform's own site, so TimeWell never sees your password. TURN OFF WHAT YOU WANT TURNED OFF Every filter is a switch. Flip one, or flip them all. * Reels — Instagram and Facebook * Shorts — YouTube * For You — X opens on Following instead * Explore — Instagram's algorithmic grid * Suggested posts — your feed goes back to people you follow * Trends and Who to follow * Like, view and follower counts * Ads and sponsored posts * AI-generated posts and AI persona accounts * Comments * Grayscale — drain the colour out of every feed * The small engagement tricks that don't have names Coming soon: TikTok, Snapchat. FOCUS, SLEEP AND LIMITS Start a focus session and the feeds are paused while the ring counts down. Set a sleep window and the apps shut overnight, every night. Give any app a daily limit — and lock it, if you already know what you'd do at 11pm. TODAY One ring: your screen time against the daily goal you set, how today compares with yesterday, where the time actually went app by app, and a streak for every day you stayed under. SOL An AI companion for the ten minutes after you put the phone down — the one place in TimeWell for "why do I keep doing this" rather than "how long was I on it". Your conversation is stored on your phone and nowhere else. BUILT TO BE PRIVATE The filtering runs entirely on your phone. Nothing you browse is collected, sent anywhere, or sold — not the feeds you read, not the accounts you follow, not a single post. Screen Time uses Apple's own API, which is designed so that even we cannot see which apps you picked. An account is optional and everything works without one; if you make one, you can delete it permanently from inside the app. FAMILY A parent can set the filters on a child's phone and lock the ones that need to stay on. REMINDERS, AND ONLY FOUR When a focus session ends, at 90% of your daily goal, when you reach it, and shortly before sleep mode closes the apps. No streak nagging. Nothing that says "come back to TimeWell". You don't have to delete anything. You don't have to quit. You just have to be able to turn the addictive parts off — and now you can.
