Your apps cost three words. Put the ones that eat your day behind Apple's Screen Time and you get a shield, not a feed. Clear a thirty-second session and every lock lifts at once, for as long as you chose. All 22 languages are free, 11 of them Indian. THE THIRTY SECONDS YOU TRADE A card opens with an illustration, a word and its phonetics, read aloud. The meaning sits blurred until you tap it. Then you give it back. A word or phrase becomes a four-option quiz. A sentence comes back as its own words, shuffled into tiles, for you to put in order. Answer wrong and only the broken tail returns; the part you had right stays put. Two or more words end on a match board, then a usage card each. Three words is ten cards. Set it to one, or to twenty-five. AI CALL ASSISTANT Practice what you learn by having a conversation on call with our highly trained ai assistant. 22 LANGUAGES, NONE OF THEM PAID English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia and Urdu. Every language carries the same 141 items: 71 words, 29 phrases and 41 sentences across 12 units, each with a worked example sentence and its translation. 147 hand-drawn illustrations in a retro 1980s Tokyo anime style, with a cast you start to recognise. A script section covers 22 writing systems and 868 letters, each with romanisation, a pronunciation hint and a speaker. 12 stages sit in three levels, Beginner to Expert. Each opens when you pass its 10-question test at 80%. A LOCK THAT HOLDS Real Screen Time enforcement. No "open anyway", no snooze, no five more minutes on the shield. Lock single apps, whole categories and websites. Three of them on the free tier, unlimited with Pro. One session unlocks everything. There is no per-app deal to make. Pick the window: 15 or 30 minutes, an hour, the rest of the day, or a custom 5 to 1440. Face ID or Touch ID guards six actions, including editing the locked list. An optional schedule turns locking on and off by the hour, overnight included. It is off by default, which means locks are always on. A Live Activity counts it down on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. WORDS THAT COME BACK SM-2 spaced repetition returns a word after roughly 1, 2, 6, 14 and 35 days. Only a first-try answer counts. 20 WIDGETS Nine are playable without opening the app: flip a card, answer a quiz, match a pair, save a word. Eleven show the illustrations, three fit the Lock Screen. Words rotate hourly by default, or from every 15 minutes to once a day. WHAT COSTS NOTHING The whole lock mechanic. All 22 languages and all 141 items in each. All 12 stages, opened by passing the tests. Every unlock window, every session size, every widget, the Live Activity. No daily limit, no hearts, no energy. LKIN PRO US$39.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, or US$1.99 per week. Pro adds unlimited locked apps, categories and sites; strict mode, which freezes the lock list and blocks the 24-hour break; jumping to any stage without sitting the test; practising from the whole pack, not only the stages you opened; two streak freezes a month; instant answer reveals with no ad; no ads; and 11 alternate icons. The free tier carries two small banners and one optional rewarded ad, no interstitials. PRIVACY Your locked-app choices never leave the phone. Screen Time hands the app opaque tokens, so it cannot read an app's name and never uploads one. The weekly usage report is drawn inside Apple's sandbox; the app never receives it. LKIN never asks for tracking permission and never gets the advertising identifier. Sign in with Apple is optional, and account deletion is in the app. iPhone, iOS 26 or later.
