Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: KingPool at 100% against Bracket Builder's 49%. KingPool also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Bracket Builder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bracket Builder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and KingPool sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
KingPool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bracket Builder has 2.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Bracket Builder's written reviews are positive against 100% of KingPool's.
Bracket Builder ships an update every 6 days, KingPool every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
