Have you thought about how old you are - in meters? Or how tall you are - in seconds? Or how many miles it is until your next birthday? Let's think out of the box, relativistically. While spacetime intervals are constant, length and time can be converted to each other. This calculator makes use of geometrized units (where the speed of light is unity) and lets you convert conveniently between length and time. Is this a useful conversion tool in your day-to-day life? Probably not. But maybe it will let you think about the world a little differently. And amuse your friends and family at the same time! For a technical reference, refer to "Gravitation", by Misner, Thorne and Wheeler, 1973, W.H. Freeman and Company, pp. 35-36. To make things more accessible to the average user, we have tried to avoid displaying scientific notation in numbers as much as possible and, instead, make use of more common terms, such as "billions of miles" and "milliseconds". Now upgraded with the ability to choose different lengths and times for input (inches, hours, days, etc.)! keywords: science, physics, space, time, relativity, calculator ---------------- Reviews from around the world: from Fox Knight, US Love this app!! from highschool student, US Good job, there's a lot of potential here. . . from Turbo elf, US Science geek must buy from Letter Warrior, US I love this idea, especially seeing how far it is until tomorrow, or a friend's birthday. from Professor and wife, US A great application that can also be used by students ... really is a wonderful game.

Celestia — real-time 3D visualization of space 3D Space Simulator | Celestia lets you explore our universe in three dimensions. Celestia simulates many different types of celestial objects. From planets and moons to star clusters and galaxies, you can visit every object in the expandable database and view it from any point in space and time. The position and movement of solar system objects is calculated accurately in real time at any rate desired. Interactive Planetarium | Celestia serves as a planetarium – for an observer on any celestial object. You can easily navigate to any world and land on its surface. When used as a planetarium, Celestia shows accurate positions of solar system objects in the sky. You can switch labels and other supporting features on and off with hotkeys, or zoom in and out on an object of interest, for example Jupiter’s system of moons. Expandable Content | Customize Celestia according to your needs. Celestia’s catalogues can be easily expanded. There are many different add-ons available containing new objects like comets or stars, high-resolution textures of Earth and other well mapped solar system bodies, as well as 3D models for asteroids and spacecraft on precise trajectories. Even fictional objects from well-known sci-fi franchises can be found. EULA(End User License Agreement): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: e at 5.0 against Celestia's 4.4. e also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (90% vs 79%). Celestia's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (337 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Celestia sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. e asks for nothing beyond the download.
e holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Celestia has 337 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of e's written reviews are positive against 79% of Celestia's.
e ships an update every 11 months, Celestia fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
