Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Prayer Book at none against Prayers for the Sick's 1. Prayer Book also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (56 vs 6). Prayers for the Sick's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
