SPL is a professional-grade digital sound level meter (decibel meter) for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. It includes all of the modes, filters, and features that you would expect from a professional ANSI or IEC Sound Level Meter. All filters and averaging modes meet or exceed the criteria for ANSI Type 1 standards or better. SPL is created from the same team who brought you the Audio Toolbox and ATB Plus. Store Results -- Uses the same powerful Save / Recall engine as our premier app, AudioTools. Allows storing GPS and time-stamped results, and exporting them to your computer. You can also use SPL with our calibrated iPhone measurement mic, iTestMic, or iAudioInterface. The screen flips if you turn the phone upside down, so that you can point the built-in iPhone mic directly at the sound source. *** Modes: Slow, Fast, Impulse, Peak, and Leq. *** Filters: A and C weighting, and 10 octave band filters. *** Includes a resettable Max field to track the highest reading. *** Includes a reference field (except in Leq mode) so that you can set a reference level and do seat-to-seat comparisons. The SPL meter can be fully calibrated. It comes preset with the calibration for a typical iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Most iOS devices will be within a few dB of this reading. If you have access, even temporarily, to a calibrated sound level meter, just use the calibration field on the settings scree to match the meter, and you will be accurately calibrated. Also, see our other professional-grade audio apps: AudioTools, our premier suite of professional-caliber audio and acoustics test apps, Speaker Pop, to test speaker polarity, and RTA, a real-time analyzer for the iPhone. And, we have a group of calibrated, accurate measurement microphones, including iTestMic,iTestMic2, and iAudioInterface2, that allows full professional results for Type 1 or Type 2 measurements. This will allow measuring a range from approximately 30 dB SPL to 130 dB SPL. Each mic will include a calibration factor that you will enter into the SPL app for calibrated measurements. This mic will also work with Speaker Pop, our speaker polarity tester, FFT, RTA, ETC, and other acoustical measurement apps in our AudioTools app that is available now. Also, see our iAudioInterface2 system, which supports any pro test and measurement mic. Now includes an iPhone internal mic compensation filter, to cancel out the low-frequency roll-off present in the iPhone and other iOS devices. See our other audio apps, including AudioTools.

About

LV1 Shortcuts

Features

LV1 Shortcuts is a focused companion controller for Waves eMotion LV1 on iPhone and iPad. Keep useful mixer commands within reach, access your assigned User Keys, recall scenes and shape scene transitions with a manual fader. QUICK ACCESS TO MIXER CONTROLS Switch between User Keys and Fixed Controls. Trigger the functions already assigned in LV1, use hold-to-talk talkback, tap the tempo and see BPM feedback. Toggle Mute Groups and use dedicated controls for Clear Solo and recording start/stop. Talkback and recording commands require the corresponding User Key assignments in LV1; the app does not capture microphone audio or record audio itself. SCENES AND SHOW MODE Browse the connected mixer's scene list with an active-scene indicator, or enter Show Mode for manual transitions. Previous Target and Next Target select a destination without recalling it. Drag the Scene Fade from 0% to 100%, move back during the transition, or stop and hold the current levels. Current Scene, Target Scene and transition status stay visible. The screen stays awake while the connected, prepared Show Mode is active in the foreground. CONTROL TRANSITIONS Fade supported input channels, FX returns and audio groups together. Choose whether direct Mute changes happen at the start, at the end, or open at the start and mute at the end. Other scene parameters are recalled at transition start according to LV1's Scope and Recall Safe settings. The fade engine does not control DCAs or Mute Groups. GUIDED PREPARATION A four-step guide helps you prepare a local working copy by reading scenes from LV1 and testing fade protection. Keep the PA off throughout preparation: the app recalls scenes and changes mixer settings. Configure Fader and Mute in LV1's Recall Safe as instructed, leaving them included in scene Scope. At least two scenes are required. The app cannot read Recall Safe status directly or change those settings for you. A matching saved preparation can be reused after reconnecting once you confirm that Fader and Mute are still protected. Prepare again if the session or working copy no longer matches. Changes made outside the app's synchronized workflow may require a fresh reading. STORE + SYNC Store the current scene in LV1, update its captured fade values locally and request a session save. Optionally run Store + Sync before fading out of the current scene. Assign Store Scene and Save Session to LV1 User Keys first. Check LV1 for save errors: a save request is not proof that the session file was written. The app's working copy is not a full LV1 session backup. DIAGNOSTICS View diagnostic details and share a test log when you need support. Logs are stored locally and shared only when you choose to share them. INCLUDED CONTROLS AND PRO Without Pro, use User Keys 1-2, Mute Groups 1-2, talkback and tap tempo. The optional Pro in-app purchase unlocks all eight displayed User Keys, all eight Mute Groups, recording controls, Clear Solo, and Scenes, including manual scene fades. REQUIREMENTS A compatible Waves eMotion LV1 host with MyRemote enabled is required. Connect through the same local control network and allow Local Network access. Use a dedicated control Wi-Fi network, separate from SoundGrid. Automatic discovery is provided, with manual IP entry as a fallback. No LV1 Shortcuts account or cloud service is required for mixer control. Apple handles Pro purchases and restoration. Audio is not transmitted or processed by the app. LV1 Shortcuts is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Waves Audio.
