Epicentral vs EQezzr

Epicentral is a network-based educational application that displays lists and maps of earthquakes that occurred during the last day, week, or month. This version runs on iPhones, iPads, and Macs (as an iPad App) but requires iOS 26+ and macOS 26+. The data are served by the U.S. Geological Survey or the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (and three other seismological organizations). List updates take at most a few 10s of seconds. For each event, a summary of the event’s properties and relationship to nearby recent seismicity is presented. When using the USGS feeds, a link to the event-specific USGS earthquake information page is available. Several historical earthquake catalogs (sourced from the US Geological Survey) are included to provide context for more recent earthquakes. These catalogs can be used to put more recent activity in context.

The earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023, was a magnitude 7.8 MW earthquake in the south of Turkey and the north of Syria. Some of our friends were directly or indirectly affected. From the shock of this event, the question arose of whether and how future earthquakes could be predicted. The idea of EQezzr was born. For this, we need your support. EQezzr" is the idea to use a mobile application with the artificial intelligence algorithms of "VOIZZR" to recognize earthquakes with the mission to predict them. The aim of this research is to train AI models based on sensor data as accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer as much as possible. EQezzr is a research project of the VOIZZR team. The app won't be tracking you and only collect this data when you actively interact with it. The data will be stored on EQEZZR servers. This app is available in English. More languages are in development.
