Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Odd Metronome at $1.99 against iReal Pro's $21.99. Odd Metronome also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). iReal Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 40 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 16). On rating, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

iReal Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iReal Pro has 11K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of iReal Pro's written reviews are positive against 88% of Odd Metronome's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iReal Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Odd Metronome every 40 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
