Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Romi Lite at none against Rummy Tiles's shown. Romi Lite also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (69% vs 57%). Rummy Tiles's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.0) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Rummy Tiles holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rummy Tiles has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Romi Lite's written reviews are positive against 57% of Rummy Tiles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Romi Lite ships an update every 6 weeks, Rummy Tiles every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
