Amateur Radio License exams are composed of questions from a pool. Use this application prior to taking your exam to review and practice all possible questions. Then, test your knowledge with practice exams! After completing your first practice exam, the question pool screen will display your proficiency in each question group for all practice exams you have completed. This will identify areas in which you need further practice. You may choose to receive immediate feedback on right and wrong answers when taking a practice test. On practice tests, questions in a group will not be repeated until all of them have been used. Some questions require you to review associated Figures. These figures may be zoomed and panned on iPhone/iPod touch. FCC rule text is viewable within the application. All sections can be browsed from the main screen. Additionally, for questions where rule sections have been identified, the rule text can be viewed on the question screen when studying the question pool or reviewing test results. An in-progress practice test can be resumed if you exit the test or the application. Current Technician question pool is valid through June 30, 2030. This "Lite" version only contains questions from subelements T1 and T6. Versions of this application for both the General and Extra license classes are also available. HotPaw Morse Words is a aid to learning Morse Code. Audio learning can be a great brain exercise. This app can help you learn the sound of entire words in Morse Code. The app is a test generator which randomly picks from 250 very common English words and sends them in International Morse Code audio through your iPhone speaker or headset. The WPM (words per minute) speed can be easily set up to 100 WPM. You can also separately set the dot speed (for Farnsworth method code), and customize the tone frequency. Hit "Start" to start sending random Morse code text. You can choose "Show", to see the words displayed as they are sent to the speaker. This is helpful when first learning. After you are familiar with the sound of the words, you can "Hide" the display of the words sent, and attempt to copy them down on paper as your hear them. Then you can later show them in order to check how many words you copied correctly. Optionally you can paste a custom word list, from 5 to 500 words in length, using the Settings view.
