Unfolding Space was conceived by Julieta Aguilera as an immersive malleable environment for the CAVE virtual reality theater where body gestures would alter the structure of the space surrounding the user. The iPad and iPhone versions of the piece give the user a small dynamic window into that world. Unlike the iPad and iPhone versions, the CAVE version of this application allowed you to move though an endless grid of tesseracts. Unfolding Space is an interactive experience where the three dimensional shadow of a four dimensional textured grid is unfolded through gesture. Moving though this fluid grid seeks to evoke the experience of walking through a labyrinth that opens and closes its corridors at will, so the viewer is never trapped as long as he/she can master the form. In other words, "Unfolding Space" shows a structure that responds to motion as if the viewer was wearing space itself. Julieta's idea reflects on how we assimilate the physical space that surrounds us into mental spaces, and is based on architectural, pictorial, and mathematical works in human history such as Gaudi's structures, Japanese gardens, Polynesian navigation, religious iconography, and knot theory. She was inspired by her mother's dream of being trapped in a labyrinth, and wanted to recreate that environment while giving the user the possibility of finding a way through.

Dormy is the easiest way to plan a college dorm room, from the packing list to what the room will actually look like. A COLLEGE PACKING LIST THAT IS ALREADY WRITTEN Open Dormy and your dorm essentials checklist is waiting: bedding (yes, Twin XL), bath, storage, laundry, desk, tech, kitchen, decor, and the documents everyone forgets. Check things off as you buy and pack, add anything specific to your school, and keep an eye on the countdown to move-in day. The checklist is free forever. No account, no sign up. SEE THE ROOM BEFORE YOU MOVE IN Describe the room you want, or upload a photo of your actual dorm, and get a finished design back in seconds. Choose a vibe: cozy, minimal, bold, preppy, or earthy. Every design saves to your gallery, so you can compare looks, share them with a roommate, and agree on a plan before anyone spends money on a rug. MADE FOR STUDENTS, AND FOR THE PARENTS HELPING OUT Tell Dormy who is planning and it adjusts. Students get a checklist paced to move-in day. Parents get a clear view of what still needs buying. Share the list, split the work, and stop trading screenshots back and forth. WHY FRESHMEN KEEP IT ON THEIR HOME SCREEN • Real dorm research, not an empty list you have to fill in yourself • Works for singles, doubles, suites, and small spaces in general • Fast, quiet, and clutter free, in light or dark mode • Your first room design is on us Unlimited room designs require a Pro subscription.
