Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: ProjectorCalc at 5.0 against LensPro's 4.4. ProjectorCalc also leads on price ($2.99 vs $5.99) and iOS requirement (9.2 vs 15.0). LensPro's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 38%) and update cadence (every 12 months vs every 49 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

ProjectorCalc costs $2.99 and LensPro $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
ProjectorCalc holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LensPro has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of ProjectorCalc's written reviews are positive against 76% of LensPro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ProjectorCalc ships an update every 49 months, LensPro every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
