Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Color Code Breaker at 4.7 against Nine Race's 4.1. Color Code Breaker also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 22). Nine Race's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Code Breaker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Nine Race asks for nothing beyond the download.
Color Code Breaker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Code Breaker has 2.3K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Color Code Breaker's written reviews are positive against 83% of Nine Race's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Color Code Breaker ships an update every 6 months, Nine Race every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
