Welcome to Sharp Arena! Sharp Arena is a home for thinking games - the kind you learn in a minute and spend months trying to master. Three games are open, and every day there is a new challenge waiting for you. THE DAILY CHALLENGE Every day, a new Checkers or Dots and Boxes position, a goal to reach and a rival across the table. "Capture 2 pieces in a single move, within 8 moves, against Pita": it sounds simple, until you try. The better your solution, the more XP it earns. Once you solve it, see where you landed on the daily board, watch the replay of everyone else who solved it, and react to their solutions. The challenge arrives over the internet and is saved on your device: you can solve it with no signal at all, and your result is sent once you are back online. CHECKERS (DRAUGHTS) Four rule sets in one app: Brazilian, Portuguese, Anglo-American checkers and the informal "house rules" everyone grew up with. Forced captures, a king that flies down the diagonal, and a rules guide built into the game so nobody argues. TIC TAC TOE The classic you know, with one difference: this opponent doesn't slip by accident. Close the line before it does - if you can. DOTS AND BOXES Connect the dots, close more boxes than your opponent, and take over the board. Simple to learn, genuinely treacherous. FOUR RIVALS, AND EACH ONE PLAYS DIFFERENTLY They aren't the same opponent under four names: each has its own pace, style and patience. • Cacau, the laid-back capybara - she lets you win, and doesn't hide it • Pita, the clever fox - from here on you need to pay attention • Tex, the stubborn badger - rarely loses, and makes you earn every point • Magno, the ruthless owl - the final test. Very few have ever beaten him. POWERS FOR WHEN THE MATCH GETS TIGHT In Checkers and Dots and Boxes, against the CPU, Best move shows the strongest move and Undo move takes back a mistake. In the daily challenge, the Hint gives you a clue before it gives away the move. Each use is unlocked by a short ad, and no match ever needs one to be played to the end. BUILT TO PLAY ANYWHERE • All three games work 100% offline - on the bus, on a plane, in a lift, with no signal at all • Quick matches: a game of Tic Tac Toe fits in a queue • Local 2-player mode to challenge the person next to you • No sign-up required: play as a guest AND IF YOU WANT TO GET SERIOUS • Experience (XP) and levels that rise as you play better, not just more • Rankings to compare yourself with other players, and a fresh board for every challenge • A streak that follows the days in a row you've played • Achievements for every game, plus the challenge ones that count the days you solved • Light ("paper") and dark ("felt") themes, and three languages NO TRICKS Your opponents don't cheat and can't see your future moves. They think for real, on the other side of the table - which is exactly why beating Magno means something. For the curious: the intelligence playing against you runs entirely inside your device. None of its moves is decided on a server - that's why the games work with no internet. Sharp Arena is free, and three games are only the beginning. Download now and find out how far you get.
