Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Svenska Dagbladet at Free against TextTV's $0.99. Svenska Dagbladet also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (224 vs 1). TextTV's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 14%). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Svenska Dagbladet is free to download; TextTV costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Svenska Dagbladet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Svenska Dagbladet has 224 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of TextTV's written reviews are positive against 14% of Svenska Dagbladet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TextTV ships an update every 3 weeks, Svenska Dagbladet every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
