More songs can be added to the playlist at any time without interrupting playback. Song title and artist are displayed in large easy to read text along with album artwork (when available). Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: The Queue at Free against Party Jukebox's $0.99. The Queue also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 25 months). Party Jukebox's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 20%) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

The Queue holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Queue has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Party Jukebox's written reviews are positive against 20% of The Queue's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Party Jukebox ships an update every 25 months, The Queue every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
