This stopwatch can be used for model glider contests. In a model glider (F3K and F3J) contest, a pilot can fly his plane a number of times within the 'worktime'. Using this application, each successive flight can be recorded while the working time decreases. When the working time ends, a signal is given. Tap anyhwhere in the screen to start or stop a flight. Tap 'Start' to start the countdown timer for the Worktime. Tap the Info button on the down-right corner to edit the duration of the Worktime. This is a free, lite version. The Pro version includes several enhancements including a 'talking timer'. With this talking timer the pilot can hear when the worktime will end. The Pro version also stores the recorded flights in a database on the iPhone.

Auggie's RC Heli Toolbox, designed by and for RC Helicopter pilots it's a courtesy of AEON RC. Designed by RC Helicopter pilots. Includes AEON info pages and access to the AEON site. It also includes an innovative interactive head speed calculator, an Ultra High precision Pitch Gauge, a talking Flight Timer, a GPS based Altitude and speed Recorder in case you have an old iPhone that you want to strap to your helicopter or airplane and find out what the maximum speed was or to calculate the air density for adjusting collective pitch in high altitudes, a Units Converter to help conversion between measuring units, Access to the AEON RC manuals directory to easily find your AEON Product manuals and your tail servo speeds and frame rates. Below are the sections explained: Interactive Head Speed Calculator section calculates head speeds interactively by sliding the dots and finding the desired head speed. It uses both one and two stages (2 gear and 4 gear). Ultra-High Precision Pitch Gauge section is used to measure the incidence angle taking advantage of the very precise accelerometers present in today’s phones and using the high-power processor present in the phone to do high-speed digital signal processing of the accelerator’s signals. The get pitch gauge mount button will take you to the page of the Ultra-High precision Pitch Gage phone holder. Altitude and Max Speed Recorder section is used to show the altitude of the flying field so that pitch changes can be made accordingly and if you have an old small phone, you can strap it to your helicopter/airplane and record the maximum speed it does while flying. Units Converter section is used to make unit conversions in the most commonly used units in the RC Heli Hobby. Talking Flight Timer section is used for pilots that either don’t have timers or who want a more feature-rich timer for the flights. We hope you enjoy this free App courtesy of the International AEON RC.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RC at 5.0 against RC Heli Toolbox's 4.2. RC also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.6). RC Heli Toolbox's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
RC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC Heli Toolbox has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of RC's written reviews are positive against 50% of RC Heli Toolbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
RC ships an update every 4 months, RC Heli Toolbox every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
