Mininigma is a complete simulator of an Enigma Machine for your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. Basically, Enigma was a cipher machine used by the Germans during World War II for the encryption and decryption of secret messages. It looked like an old typewriter with some extra features. Being fully compatible with the real Enigma means you can also use Mininigma to decode any of the original messages which can be found on Internet. You can also generate a machine configuration based on a keyword or keyphrase. That means you'll only have to share that keyword to send a message!! Mininigma can accurately simulate different types of machines: The Enigma I, M3 and M4, Railway, G-312, or Swiss-K, with some others coming in the future. You can read more about these, as always, on the Wikipedia :) You can actually select between the different machine types and setup them as you would with a real one: choose rotors, configure them, or use a plugboard to switch letters. All at the tip of your finger. Mininigma supports Copy/Paste to allow you to interact with any other application on your device. You can even copy/paste machine configurations in an encryptable string!!

Turn the rotors, plug in the cables, press a key and watch which lamp lights up. Enigma brings history's most famous cipher machine to your iPhone and iPad, so accurately that the app decrypts surviving radio messages letter by letter. Please note: the app is in German. A MACHINE YOU CAN TOUCH • Seven models to operate yourself: Enigma D, K, G, I, M3, M4 and T • Rotors in 3D, turned with your finger, with a settable reflector on the commercial models • A plugboard you can tap: plug in the cables like on the original • Lampboard and keyboard, input and output in groups as sent by radio • The Enigma M4 from the Deutsches Museum as a 3D scan you can rotate TWELVE MODELS FROM 1923 TO 1945 From the printing "Handelsmaschine" to the U-boat Enigma M4: every model has a profile with a drawing, historical photos where freely available, dimensions and weight where documented, rotors, key space, codebreaking and history, plus fun facts with sources. LEARN WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE • "What's what?" tour: learn where everything is in one minute • Free step-by-step demo on the Enigma I • How operators typed without a space bar, digits or punctuation, with a try-it field • All models compared: how secure were they, and when were they broken? • Technical terms explained in plain language ENIGMA PRO (ONE-TIME PURCHASE) • Real radio messages with their surviving keys, from a 1930 training message to May 1945 • Encrypt and decrypt every message • A message sheet in period style to view and share • Dedicated demos for Enigma D, K, G, M3, M4 and T Buy once, no subscription. Profiles, all seven machines and the Enigma I demo stay free. CHECKED AND SOURCED Every simulated machine is tested against surviving radio messages. The app's source list shows where numbers, dates and pictures come from: Crypto Museum, Wikipedia, Frode Weierud, the German Army and Navy key procedures and the Deutsches Museum. NO ADS, NO TRACKING Works offline, only the purchase needs a connection. No account, no data collected. OUR STANCE The Enigma was a tool of war and of the Nazi state. The app shows the technology and its history. It glorifies none of it.
