Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: IMAIOS e at none against Skeleton 3D Anatomy's shown. IMAIOS e also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 months). Skeleton 3D Anatomy's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (57% vs 48%). On price, in-app purchases, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. IMAIOS e sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month and Skeleton 3D Anatomy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
IMAIOS e holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 352 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of IMAIOS e's written reviews are positive against 57% of Skeleton 3D Anatomy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
IMAIOS e ships an update every 9 days, Skeleton 3D Anatomy every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
