Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 중앙일보 at 4.5 against 다음's 3.2. 중앙일보 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (51% vs 40%). 다음's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 중앙일보 sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. 다음 asks for nothing beyond the download.
중앙일보 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of 중앙일보's written reviews are positive against 40% of 다음's.
중앙일보 ships an update monthly, 다음 every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
