Measure the RPM of an engine by analyzing the sound it makes. Engine RPM listens to the sound of a running engine and uses advanced signal processing algorithms to extract the frequency of that sound and calculate the RPM. This app is primarily for setup and diagnostics of engines. After setting the the number of cylinders and whether the engine is a 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine, the app can work with any internal combustion engine, from diesel tractors to aircraft engines to motorcycles to chainsaws. To use the app you must set an expected RPM range to guide the analysis algorithms to the correct RPM. A real-time graph of the autocorrelation graph is displayed to help in troubleshooting and adjusting the expected RPM range. The analysis requires a clear sound from the engine without excessive interference from extraneous sounds. Do not expect to read the RPM of an engine while other things are making too much noise at the same time. The analysis also requires that the RPM be stable. It cannot read the RPM of an engine that is rapidly accelerating. For this reason, and because of the need for adjusting the expected RPM range, this app should not be considered a drop-in replacement for an operational tachometer. Setup options include update periods from 93 milliseconds to 1.5 seconds, one to 12 cylinders, 2-stroke or 4-stroke, low-pass filtering, and signal clipping. The overall RPM range is 400 to 90,000 RPM (although at any one time, the operational range is typically +/- 30% around a nominal expected RPM). Precision is usually about +/- 10 RPM.

Your build deserves better than a shoebox of receipts and a camera roll you cannot search. TorqVault is the build documentation app for custom vehicle builders, classic car restorers, and DIY garage enthusiasts. Replace scattered spreadsheets, photo albums, and sticky notes with one organized vault for every part, photo, wire, and measurement in your project. TRACK ANY VEHICLE Create projects for Cars, Trucks, Boats, ATVs, Dirt Bikes, and Motorcycles. Each type loads the right part categories automatically so you spend zero time configuring. CATALOG PARTS WITH FULL LINEAGE Log part numbers, suppliers, prices, install dates, and weight for every component. The Frankenstein Part Lineage feature records which donor vehicle each part came from -- year, make, model, and VIN. Track modifications over time. Search everything instantly. PHOTO GALLERY WITH BEFORE & AFTER Organize photos into auto-generated folders. Compare any two shots side-by-side or with an interactive overlay slider to see how far your build has come. INTERACTIVE WIRING DIAGRAMS Drop components onto an infinite canvas, draw color-coded wire connections between pins, and annotate with notes. No more tracing wires from a crumpled printout on the shop floor. CLEARANCE & INTERFERENCE LOGS Record header-to-firewall, tire-to-fender, and oil-pan-to-crossmember measurements. Tag parts involved, mark pass/fail/warning, and attach photos so you know where your tight spots are before you button everything up. QR-CODED STORAGE INVENTORY Assign parts to storage boxes and generate printable QR label sheets. Scan any box to see what is inside. Stop digging through bins looking for that one bracket. GARAGE MODE The entire UI switches to oversized 64-point tap targets, high-contrast text, and keeps your screen awake. Built for greasy gloves, bright sunlight, and one-handed operation. COURAGE MODE One toggle hides every dollar amount across the app. Your build, your business. VOICE INPUT & REMINDERS Dictate notes hands-free with on-device Apple Speech -- your data never leaves your phone. Set push notification reminders for order arrivals, torque re-checks, or any build milestone. BUILD WHITEBOARD Plan ahead with prioritized task cards: Road Worthy, Show Worthy, and Nice to Have. Link parts, list what you still need, and set milestone dates. TIME CAPSULE EXPORT Generate a PDF build report with every part, box, clearance check, and stat in one shareable document. Years from now, the next owner will know exactly what went into this build. ALWAYS IN SYNC iCloud keeps your projects current across every Apple device.
